There are things for the whole family to do here. If you’re into shopping you can look through the local shops, seek out one of our many home based talented businesses, or even the hardware store and find a treasure you won’t want to go home without. When the shopping is finished, or you just need a break, grab a latte or a milkshake and update your Facebook status to let everyone know what a good time you’re having, at one of the places that offer free wireless internet.
If thrill seeking is what you’re after, rent an ATV and get out on the miles of roads and trails in the area. Or take a whitewater rafting trip down the Stillwater. You’re sure to get wet and have some fun! If you’re just in the mood to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature maybe a horseback ride is what you’re looking for. Local guides offer hourly, day, or pack trips. There are several fishing accesses available for fishing, camping and relaxing, and lots of places to hike.
After a long day of having fun don’t miss out on any of our delicious dining experiences. If you’re in the mood for a big ‘ol cowboy cut steak, Chinese style cuisine, or a delicious burger you can find it in the area. If you just can’t bear to leave yet, stay in a historic house or a themed room at the local motel. There are also several guest cabins and houses available for rent in the area.
The great local events will give you a reason to come back again and again. Several events such as the annual BBQ Cook-off held the first Sunday of July every year, or Absarokee Days on the last weekend in July. We also have an Art and Wine Festival, a couple of nut-fests, an annual run, and even a winter festival. No matter what time of the year you make it to Absarokee you’ll find something exciting going on for the whole family.
